I know there was a plastics change and a slight change in lighting or something, but I think the motor and the electronics are identical, right?

Carbs should be the same... but they did change the ram air system sometime during the production run, but i doubt they would have altered the carbs as well.

Can anyone confirm that a 97 carb will work on a 96. Has anyone have any luck with dynojet kits on the f3?

Welcome to CBRF! I can't tell you definitively whether those newer gen carbs will work or not because I know Honda changed some things around with the air box and some other things.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Justin,

Do lots of reading in the F3 section and ask the guys as many questions as you need to clarify your needs. Generally someone, somewhere will have already done it.

Cheers, SB

Welcome :-D
as far as I know the carbs on the F3 are bigger than the ones on my F2. I think there's jetting changes too.
