Default New 929 rr, coming from yfzcentral

Hey fellas, just bought a 2001 Honda cbr929rr off of a friend who needed the cash. I originally planned on selling it and recouping some of the cash but it's such a blast to ride. So all in all, For 5g's I got the 929 with 3500 miles on it with a dynojet, micron exhaust, flush mount signals, a locking cover for back seat, rear fender, 1 arai helmet and 1 KFC helmet. Including all receipts and service records the extras total led over 3G on the according to the receipts. The bike did more sitting than riding given it only has 3500 miles. First thing I did was change the oil. Coming from a yfz450, I like to do my own maintenance and look forward to learning more about the Hondas.hmmmm there's no paper clip icon to attach pics

Default Welcome fellow 929 owner

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you got a good deal. Doing the maintenance on your own is awesome because you know it is done right, and it saves you money. Stop on by the 929RR thread and take a look around. There is a good number of members on here that are proficient with the 929's and can help you with any questions. There is the service manual there and many other 929RR goodies. I believe a Moderator has to set-up your account to attach pictures.

Stop by the Regional Thread too and link up with some fellow NJ or surrounding area riders.

Again welcome and don't hesitate to ask if you have a question about anything.

Welcome!

Always nice to add another 929 to our family. look at the "how to add pics" sticky in the new member section. It will explain how pics and this forum works.

Funny, I got my first 929 the same way. Got a good deal, was going to sell it, then rode it 80,000 miles. Couldnt get me off of it, until a truck killed it and I bought another one.

the more you ride it, the more you will love it! See you in the 929 section, dont forget to look at the picture thread....

Welcome to CBRF RRNJ!

Congrats on getting your 929. You got a great deal!...especially having all the paperwork & knowing the history of the bike.
