Hey y'all. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Brandon and I'm from a Formula SAE team in Texas. We are looking for a motor for our car and We will be going with a CBR 600 motor. My forte` is cars but I hope to learn a lot about these during the building of the car. I'm currently trying to procure one for the team as we speak. Thanks a lot for the hospitality.

Hello and welcome to the forum Brandon, try talking with our tech specialist in the CBR Zone

They specialize in engine mods and other performance related issues, they might come in handy and have good prices on parts.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I will be giving Motorcycles Unlimited a call in the morning to see what they've got. Thanks for the suggestion. As we get the car together, I will pust pics (so long as it's ok with our team leader). Take it easy!

Well we finally have a motor! What we need now is to try and find some of the parts we need to get it running. Just in case you were wondering we got a 2004, CBR 600 RR race ready Honda Engine.

Ne-way, we need to find a maintenance/owner's manual (on cd-rom if possible) so we can get the right torque specifications for the heads, oil types, pressure specs., etc. We also need a full wiring harness if we can find one, a transfer case housing, clutch housing, starter, stator, stator cover, water pump, ecu., injectors and throttle bodies, evap. system (for fuel system), and any other relay's and electrical components we might need for the ignition.

If we are going to get this motor going we need parts A.S.A.P.
