My intro- 2006 CBR600F4i
 

Hello all fellow Honda bike owners! I figured I would stop in and give you a little bit of back ground information on me, and some pictures of the new bike! First off, my name is Jimmie, I live in Beaufort, SC.(Any fellow forum members here?) and I just picked up a 2006 CBR600F4i with 15k miles on it this past week. First real bike, have some riding experience but this is truly my first bike.

A little background info, when I was a kid I was diagnosed with a very rare form of bone cancer, given very low survival rates, but pulled through! It was no easy fight, as they had to remove a bone from my arm, and actually put a bone from my leg into my arm. The bone was removed from my left leg, and over time I had developed the notorious "drop foot". 4 years ago I could not wiggle my toes, let alone lift my left foot up at all. After extensive therapy and frustration, time finally paid off and while I don't have 100% feeling and use of my left foot, I have no problems shifting, downshifting, anything.

I really have wanted a bike since as long as I could remember, and since I had a good bit of riding experience and recently rode a 250r and felt like I had already mastered that, I wanted to go with something that would not get boring anytime fast, yet very comfortable and forgiving, since I will still be learning a lot on this bike. Did some craigslisting, came across this bike the day I sold my car, and picked it up later on that day as well as another car for a daily.

I LOVE this bike. Super comfortable, TONS of power(for me anyway), but it isn't gonna throw you in the seat unless you really want it to, which is what I wanted. I wanted a forgiving 600cc that has the power I want, but is a very easy bike to ride, and don't think I could of got a better bike for what I wanted. SO glad I didn't go with a GSXR!

Bike is completely stock asides from eBay signals and grips. Future plans are a nice RS-3 Yoshimura exhaust, double bubble black windscreen, shorty grips, different handles, tail delete, and a nice and bright HID kit. Maybe a power commander down the road but I am just beginning to learn the power of this bike, and I am in NO means in a hurry to discover what it can really do, you only have one life, i'd rather learn slow and safe! Anyway, to much talking, on to the pictures! Only cosmetic problems are the broken windscreen, already ordered my double bubble though, and a dent in the exhaust. Let me know what you guys think! Most pictures were taken before I washed her so bare with me on the pollen!

Great looking bike and may you have many happy miles. I'd say you should look up the workshop manual and download it to save you lots of $$ and teach you how it all goes together.
Fit a 35W HID kit - anything brighter is overkill.

Any idea where I could find a link to the owners manual? Will do a basic google search and forum search, i'm sure it's posted here somewhere! My buddy has a 35W on his bike, that is the one I was going to go with. Thanks for the advice and the welcome!
