Default long time lurker...

Hi all,

My name is Steve and I'm a Hondaholic...

I prefer the 1991 F2's but, not being picky, I'll partake of others.
On a more serious note, I've got a 1991 F2 that I bought brand spankin new twenty three years ago, and I still love riding this bike as much today as back then.
It's been through numerous track days at Willow Springs Raceway, three crashes and it's fourth instrument cluster, various replacement bits of bodywork and a bunch of other upgrades to get it to perform better. I'll list those in my profile once I'm able to.

I'm in process of painting the fairings, once I convince myself that I can do it. I've not painted on fiberGlass before so I'm a bit unsure of my skills.
Anyhow I was going to paint it back to it's stock colors, white/red, as that combination was always my favorite.

I just had it on a dyno last weekend to help with a jetting issue, and it was a bit humbling to watch all of these newer bikes on the dyno with their triple digit horsepower readings, and then my little 600 gets up there with a rockin 73hp.
Well, at the time 23 years ago, that WAS rockin...

Here's a pic of me and fav F2 at Willow Springs.

Also, a request of help from the moderators.
I'm unable to edit anything on my profile, and I'm also unable to message anyone.
Can one of you take a look at my account and see if it's semi locked out and let me know what I need to do to fix it.
Thanks,
Steve

Welcome to the CBR Forum Steve,

That's a long history with the CBRs - and particularly one bike!

All new members are moderated for a short while to ensure the safety of the forum so your mails will have to be approved by a Moderator or Admin for a period. This usually doesn't take too long if you keep posting.

As for what the forum will and will not allow you to do while in 'moderation', see the link in my sig below.

Cheers, SB

Thanks for the welcome all, and I'm already posting away in the F2 section. Which has now cleared me out of moderation mode...

Hey Conrice, the track pic was taken back in the mid 90's with a group in Southern California called TrackRiders.
That day we had three guest instructors, Kent Kunitsugu, Nick Ienatsch, and Kevin Schwantz... It was awesome watching Kevin pass me on the outside of turn eight like I was cruisin in third, of course Kent and Nick were no slouches either...
My love for the F2 comes from this day, it was the first time I had been shown how to safely ride fast enough through turns to where my knees would drag and this bike made it easy to go that fast.
That's why I love my F2
