Default Just sayin hello from Cleveland area.

Hey guys, over the winter I bought my first sport bike, a 1997 CBR F3 600. When I bought this bike it came in several large plastic bins lol... I had no idea if it worked or what all needed done with it. However I got it for next to nothing.. with that being said I know next to nothing about this style of bike, but i managed to put it back together and here i am.. It is not road worthy yet as I think the carbs need rebuilt.. I have a few questions But ill post those in the Cbr F3 section lol. Anyway here is a photo of the bike after i put it back together but before i got all the plastics for it.. *some where missing*

Welcome to the forum.
Good luck with your project. Sound like it's coming together just in time for winter.
Which paint scheme did you end up going with? Kinda looks like it was an SJ (smokin joes).

thanks! I'm keeping the yellow rims and painting it glossy black.. If i end up doing any vinyls they will be yellow, I'm originally from pittsburgh so Black and yellow suits me quite well LOL.. not sure Cleveland will agree tho! LOL.. the color originally on the bike was from honda.. I have only found a few with this color type on google this the one i found.

Welcome to CBRF SNO!

Putting a bike together while having no experience in that particular model, is no easy task. You've done well. Hope you continue to get it sorted & get it running.

While I'm not a fan of the black and yellow, it'd be better that brown and orange! lol

Seriously, black and yellow would look pretty good on a bike. Black and gold looks even better though. Can't wait to see it done!

On saturday i finally got the final bolts for the throttle and took it for a VERY small ride lol.. since it has no plates and the stickers on the forks are from PA say 2006 LOL.. but i took it down my back road and it runs great. I find that it has a bit of lag, but I think its a mixture between the fuel is Old/as well as its the regular type, i think the carbs need rebuilt and im sure the plugs are bad LOL. But i figure 500 bucks area and it'll run like a top. Luckily my dad's pretty good at auto paint so once i buy the paint itll be nothing
