Just restored an 1987 cbr1000f "Hurricane"
I just purchased an 1987 cbr1000f "Hurricane" that sat in a barn for years. Just alittle TLC and a couple hundred dollars this bike was resurrected. If any one has any pointers for basic maintenance or any known issues to look for please let me know. Thank you

Best advice I can offer is to read the manual, and the MANY posts on maintenance you'll find in the Hurricane section.

The bike was covered in some kind of sappy material. I used turtle wax bug and tar remover to clean it off. I touched the paint up alittle, put two coats of wax, buffed it for an hour and bobs your uncle. The carbs needed a good cleaning, drained all the fluids, changed all the filters, a new starter and battery. Once everything was back together the bike started right up. Worth every penny!!!
