Default Just picked up an F4I

Whats going on everybody. I just picked up an 04 600 F4I. Can someone help me with maintenance?

Right now bike has 10k, but i'm going to start fresh.

What oil weight, recommended brands and capacity?

What kind of coolant?

What kind of plugs?

Thank You

Welcome to the forum.

You will get many opinions on oil, plug, and coolant brands. Factory parts will work great. If you want other solutions, have a read around to learn about them and make an informed decision. These topics have been covered many times before, and have kinda worn out their welcome, if you know what I mean....

Congrats on the F4i. First bike?

Lots of people will say to use Honda oil, but i have always had great success buying valvoline 10W40 motorcycle oil from AutoZone, and Fram filters from Farm and Fleet. half the price of buying from the import bike shop in town, but there is only one so they have kind of a ridiculous monopoly in the area. As far as plugs and coolant i dont have favorites.

third bike, but first "good" bike.

I has a 88 fz600R as my first bike, than a suzuki TL1000R that way wayyyy too big for me and kind of a POS

nice bike! welcome to CBRF! i'm with archie, i use oil from autozone or advanced auto parts. and it's usually valvoline 10w40. sometimes if i can't afford the synthetic, i'll use the dino oil.

i try to always use purolator oil filters

ngk plugs

i use a 50/50 mix for coolant. if you live in a REALLY hot place, you can try engine ice

looks like it's about time for a rear tire, what are you thinking about getting?

Nice looking bike! Love the Yoshi pipe. Good advice above.
