Hi, i'm a new rider and just picked up a cbr 600 f4. Unfortunatly, the bike has some transmission damage, wich the previous owner lied about. As i have already fallen in love with the bike, i will be dissasembling her tomorrow, so that i can restore her to her former glory. The power wheelies by the previous owner did not do her any good at all. wish me luck.

Been working on her all day. and it's not unknown tranny damage, i never pushed it in to 3rd when testdriving it, when i brought her home, i drove her extensively, noticing that everytime i put her in 3rd gear, it kicks back in to second. I'm guessing that the teeth on the gear are gone, or a bent shift fork. I'll see the extent of the damage as soon as i crack open the crankcase. i'm about ready to drop the engine. I'll have some pics posted tonight.
