Just got my bike!!!
Hey everyone,
Well my passion for motorcycles came about when I was about 6 or 7 and for a couple years my Friday morning alarm clock was my dad warming up his Ducati 851 outside of our house. From then on my interest grew and I wanted a motorcycle of my own. I wasn't in too much of a rush and quickly diverted my inner speed freak with a '98 Acura Integra which I spent every penny on. I got to college and my automotive desire was nearly destroyed when not 1 but 2 of my cars were stolen. It was killing me to only have my Toyota Camry to drive around and I was itching to have something fun again as well as a hobby. After some research I decided on a CBR 600-RR and began searching. I almost purchased an '04 3 weeks ago but some paperwork didn't go through at first and then I was over 'bid.' Although a little discouraged, I kept the search going and found a great seller with an even better bike. I was weary at first because of the salvaged title but I brought a very knowledgeable friend with me that thuroughly examined the bike and assured me my purchase would be ok. So... this past Sat. morning I purchased a 2003 600 RR.
Bike stats:
- 4908 miles at purchase
- OEM Gloss Black Honda Rear Seat Cowl
- OEM Gloss Black painted lower fairings
- Brand New Michelin Pilot Power tires – front and rear
- Lockhart Phillips flushmount smoked front signals
- Lockhart Phillips slim arrowhead smoked rear signals
- Custom fender eliminator / license plate bracket
- frame sliders
This is my very first bike & I can tell I have A LOT of learning to do. I already tipped it over once (good thing its got frame sliders) but the damage is not bad at all. The power feels insane. I swear the fastest I've gone is only about 45 mph and even that felt fast enough. My next chance to ride is this coming weekend and I hope to put a lot more miles on it. I'm not able to ride as much as I like because the bike is currently being stored at a friend's house cause I don't have room for it at home, but when I feel I'm ready I will bring it out to my apt. where I go to school. I have a garage here so it will be fairly safe. Anyway...I know thats enough for now. I'm having trouble posting the pictures for some reason so I'm sorry about the links. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
