Hey all, my name is Ron and I'm from KC, Missouri. I have wanted a bike since I was young, but a close friend of mine just getting one has rekindled that fire. It will be nice to have someone to ride with. I will be taking the msf course in October and hopefully buying my first motorcycle soon. I have been looking at a lot of bikes but the Honda CBR really seems to be calling me. I'm kind of a Honda guy, as I have owned four of them so far so it sort of seems fitting that I would ride Honda as well. I'm leaning towards a CBR 600 at the moment. Anyway, although I'm not a CBR rider as of yet I hope to be in the near future. In the meantime I will be doing more research and soaking up as much info from this community as I can.

Welcome Ron.

Hope you succeed in finding yourself a CBR. Great idea to take the MSF too.
Do you have you sights set on a specific model?

Welcome to CBRF, Ron! There's absolutely no problems with you joining now, getting more info, and then getting a bike. I'm glad you have the itch! Bikes are amazing, you'll have a blast riding around at the MSF if it will be your first time on a bike.

I'm leaning towards an RR at the moment. From what I've read though the F series has more of a 3/4 riding style. I could be wrong about that though. If that is the case that's something to think about as far as riding comfort. I'm also looking for an 03 or newer.

Well..it happened today! Picked it up about an hour and a half away from home. Bought an '06 CBR600rr off a guy for $2300. It's gonna need some work, but it all seems cosmetic so far. Got a little bit of riding in before it got too late. Not sure if the pic will show up.
