Default i'm new here ;)

Hey all,

I joined this forum yesterday and just been surfing it until I felt like posting

I just got my '95 CBR 600 f3 the other day and I love it. I do have two newbie Q's:

1. Can vaseline be used to lube up and keep the chain clean?
2.Is 'vance and hines' the stock exhaust for this bike?

well since no one else wants to welcome you ill do it. so welcome to the best forum on the net. As for your question no to both vaseline is not a good chain lube an vance an hines is not the factory pipe for your bike.

An to all the welcomers that are being lazy I beat you all this time ner ner ner

Thank you for the reply!

I was just wonderinghow this 'vance and hines' exhaust, that I bought my bike with, differs from the stock exhaust? Is it louder and aimed at more low-end/high-end performance?

yeah its probably a little more louder an improves your exhaust flow. an am not sure but i believe that it supposed to improve your HP an torque curve from mid to upper

Welcome to the Forum !
It seems the Welcome Crew has fallen down...........me included !
Enjoy your stay, post up pics...........
I'm now off to visit the 'what brakes' guy...........errrrrr
Vaseline's fine for baby bums, not chains- it holds grit and will destroy the chain. If you're desperate, use Q20 or any brand of motor oil, and a paint brush......
Vance and Hines is a British made exhaust, supposed to improve mid-range, and is louder than standard.

hello and welcome... where from central NJ are you from? just wondering because i sold an f3 just like the one in your picture last year (though mine had a yoshimura pipe not V&H). Probably not the same but just curious cause i loved that bike
