high idle

RE: high idle
Check for vaccuum leaks. If you've got a cracked intake boot or a vaccuum line that's dried and cracked, you're letting extra air into the system causing it to run lean (too much air) and therefore idle higher. If you can't find an obvious leak, take some contact cleaner and spray it on and around the intake boots and vaccuum lines around the carburetor. If you hear a difference in engine rpm, you've found a vaccuum leak. Good luck!
