Default Hi from Sweden

HI there, greetings from Sweden,
My name is Kristian, im a 43yrs old guy returning to the bike scene after 14yrs.

I have been competing in Drifting for the last ten years, but on September 1 of this year i had a massive moutainbike downhillcrash where i snapped my pelvis in a serious way, this has made me sell Everything related to cars...

But after only a few weeks in a wheelchair & on cruthes, i decided to to get back into motorcycles, So i found myself an realy nice ang affordable CBR600 -95 just a few miles from my home. bought it & now it awaits me getting a bit better so i can start fixing it just the way i like it.

This means:

paintjob
tires
handlebarmounted rear hydraulic thumbbrake (homemade)
lowered handebars below the topmount (Spelling)
reversed gearchanges

etc

best regards / Kristian

Welcome to the CBR Forum Kristian,

I love your reasoning ----> Of course motorcycles are safer than Drift Cars or Mountainbikes (We all know they are, just don't tell the general public or our 'image' will be shot).

Welcome back to the safe world of motor bicycling!

Heal well then get out there and pamper your girl.

Cheers, SB

Welcome to CBRF, and more importantly, welcome back to 2 wheels! I'm sorry to hear about your mountain bike accident. I'm glad you found a nice F3, post some pictures of it and make sure to keep us updated on your modifications.

Thankyou all for such nice welcoming !

The bike is still at the Sellers house due to some "logistical2 problems.

But i have found some interresting tuningparts, all brand new & some other parts:

HRC advance unit
HRC race cams
2 extra rims (used)
Iceracingtires (used)
front master brakecylinder off an ZXR400 -92 (for thumbbrake-build)

Also a pixture of the all new clothing/helmet/etc i bought myself:

Thanxs again all for the nice welcome.

id thought id tell you a Little more.

I ´have really had my fair share of 2-wheelers..

including ´my firt ever alone-ride on a bike which was 1978 i Think, on an Yamaha PW50, remembering i crashe´d it in the first sandberm on the PW-track .

1983 i lived in Tanzania where my parents worked for 4 years,, i got an Yamaha YB100 to get myself to school and báck,, first bike i ever wheelied .. you know,, first gear & both feet down

1985 got an Honda CR125 from 1979, an aircooled motorcrossbike, man was it awsome & fun ride.

1886 My first driverslicence for the Swedish road on an 1984 Honda MBX125, drove it for 2 years & roughly 5-6 rear tyres....

1988 full licence used an Yamaha FZ600 -88 for a year.

1990 a brand new Honda VFR750, still the best bike i have ever ridden

1991, swapped an VW Golf GTi for an Suzuki RGV250R, not the really best roadbike.... but managed 18000kms in one summer - with the same Engine, kinda proud of that since the revcounter rarely was below 10000rpm... but then.. It blew up

1991-1994 race mopedracing on karttracks, really fun, used an honda MT-5 50cc 5 speed Engine which was tuned to 15bhp 6 17200rpm, pretty fast it was.

1993 Another brand new VFR then an ST Pan European 1100 V4 of the same year, did I mention i worked as an Honda mechanic back then
Aslo got to ride an HONDA N R 750.. yeah, i drove it.. but it waqs only fo like 20m in first gear.. but still,, do you know anyone else thats done this :-) ?

1994, Went for a Little bit different bike.. An Honda CR500 with E-plate (enduro-registered) the Engine came from a former Swedish Honda factory riders shed,,, it gave 82 crank horsepower, á stock CR500 gave 64... fitted CBR600 -87 Wheels, CBr1000 front brake disc & an GSX-R master brakecylinder. with an real Supermoto gearing of 16/32 this deathmissile did a 11,2sec 1/4-mile a topspeed of 214kmh & it wheelied in fifth at 180+ kms.. raceit at several roadraces & became Danish Supermotot Champion 1994 & 3.rd in my clubraces i total in the 600B-class 1995

1998 bought an Honda Cr250 -97, also fitted wit the same Wheel/brake-setup.. this was a stock motor, but still did 180kms in top.

This was the last bike i owned untill now... in between this a did a lot of streetracing until a friend killed his girlfriend in an accident, then i stopped all racing & turned to legal racing where i have been for the last 10 yrs.. my last car was an RWD Mitsubishi EVO II from 1994, with N/S mounted Engine producing some 700bhp with a racereadyweight of just 900kgs,, it too was crazy... just sad i never got to drive it due to the accident

Now tomorrow ill finally get my bike home & to start tearing it down .-9
