Smile Hi from sunny England

Hi All,

Just recently passed my test and have bought an old 1994 CBR 600 F.

Previous owner had converted it to the track and im currently getting it back on the road before i can ride it. Its fun, but the anticipation is killing me!

Just wanted to say hi!

Cheers,

Paul

Congrats on the pass and on the new bike. You'll have her on the road in no time.
Take care, and ride safe!

Oh my, such sarcasm and on your first post here too ..lol

Welcome to sunny England!! ..lol ... it has done nothing but pee down
constantly lately, really living up to it's reputation for rain, one of the worst
summers I have ever known ...started off great but went rapidly down hill ...
Oops, sowwy, there I go again moaning about the rain ..lol

Welcome to the forums, enjoy your stay and be safe!! :-)

Hi guys, thanks for the warm welcome!

Already found tons of useful stuff on here, especialy a carb cleaning 101 which really helped as I haven't done that before. Can't get the bike to start now though!

I know what u mean about the English weather - that's y I'm so keen to finish soon

From one new member to another, welcome.

I moved to London the end of last year from the US (Connecticut). I have quite enjoyed the weather thus far. I have learned that you locals aren't happy unless you are complaining about the weather; even when it is nice.

Enjoy the bike - take some advanced training classes (I highly recommend California Superbike School) and then get to the one of the many UK tracks as soon as you can. Some day I will move back to the US and I am already missing Silverstone and Brands Hatch. They are all so close together (relative to the tracks in the US). I love it! Be prepared though, the road will never be the same after the track.
