RE: Hi from Ohio.
Ok here is My first sport bike pics. You will notice the dents to the gas tank and the busted right front turn signal.Im pretty good at working fiberglass and so is My dad so Im confident we can patch it with no problem. The guy I bought the bike from said it wouldnt start and couldnt figure out why.He only wanted $300 for the bike.So I bought it not knowing if the motor was locked or if something major was damaged.I came home with it Saturday night and dug into it Sunday morning. When You pushed the starter button it just made a click noise.I assumed battery was dead and hooked up some jumpers.Hit the starter button again and it made the most terrible whine you could ever imagine.I then removed the leftside motor plate and found that My starter reduction gear was destroyed. The most damage was to the engine block and the cover plate where the axle sits.It broke both axle seats.Im not exactly sure what to pursue to fix it but I cleaned out all the flake and large chunks and flushed the engine with kerosine about a dozen times and ran new oil threw it.I then put it back together, added some gas and on the second attemp at jumpstarting the bike fired right up and purrred like a kitten.I let it idle for about 10 minutes and drained the oil again and replaced with new oil.Bike will startup now on the first jump.It runs good but has a little hesitation when first applying throttle.I dont know how long the bike has sit but with time Im planning on cleaning everything out.The bike is know to be the best buy for the money and for only $300 I cant be happier.
And here is My dad getting ready to take it for a spin.My little brother is drooling on the left .

I'll try again... where at in Ohio?
I'm glad you got it running and without dumping a lot of money into it.
Side note: Jumping a motorcycle with a car/truck that is running is BAD!!! Very Bad. It will work, but will fry your bike quickly. Just use the cables attached to the battery if you have to.
