Hi from dodger79. new in town :)
Hi All another cbr600fl devotee here. I bought an f1 1990 a few days ago for £580 with 3 mnths test and 10 mnths tax. its got 41K on it and 'looks' like it will be a nice ride. has pretty good fairing and a decent rear tyre. the front one will need changing as its borderline and I'm hoping to remove the luggage rack and put some new aftermarket winkers on. I'd also like to put a main stand on it as it doesn't have one - just the side stand. the paint work looks good from a few feet away with a squint. the paint code tells me it started off pearlescent white! the engine smokes slightly from cold for a couple of mins then goes clear: is this okay-ish? well, even if it means its buggered i just know i'm gonna had loads of fun working on this thing!!
Have a look on youtube if you like: walkerrog25
ps - i'm thinking of changing the paint work so what do you think will look good?
Cheers

Hi Roger! Welcome aboard!
Don't know what's causing your bike's issue but hope you get it sorted w/o too much trouble. Perhaps post the question in your bike's section or General Tech for further assistance if it continues.
I did check your bike out on youtube. It looks good considering its age. :-)
Good to have you w/ us.

Thanks gotcbr!
Thanks alot man. The very slight smoking issue seems to be some kind of inefficient combustion happening until the engine warms up. the previous owner told me the valves had been reseated and the shims done. So could be to do with that. Anyway, I'm hoping to take pics and post small updates/seek advice on here as I go along with this awesome project. The youtube thing is pretty awful as it was my first go at one of those pic movies. Would love to see your ride too!
Thanks for a great welcome.
Roger

I like to think of my F4 as more F4"i"-ish. ;-)
RVT = Racing V-Twin. The RC is truly a classic. I liken it to a P51 Mustang.
Thx again.
