Hi to all
Hello to all members, just registered but have been reading with much interest, recently bought a 95 CBR600FS from Ebay, vendor was a salvage firm so was a bit of a gamble but all has worked out well, it has 98 plastics on the front so hides its age well and at 15k dry miles the rest of the bike is mint, motor needed a cam chain tentioner but now runs smooth as silk, bike is now stripped in the garage after a full service, just a couple of cosmetic finishing touches and we are ready for the spring, i'm a big fan of these forums and find them a great source of info, i'm also in the middle of a full restoration of a Cb750fb which with a bit of luck will be on the road next summer, well back to the garage then till next time.
Cheers.

RE: Hi to all
Thanks for the warm welcome guy's, i'll post pics of the CBR soon as i have it back together should be this weekend, just spraying up fuse box cover and t-cutting all the panels, i also have new 98 Honda decals for the seat plastics on there way from Dave Silver spares bit pricey at £18 that's about $36 a side!! but they will pull the look together and at first glance make the bike look factory, thanks for the interest in my old girl the CB750F, i love the look of this bike and the ride is real relaxed and smooth, the motor has had a top end rebuild, rings, and a valve grind, i painted the crank cases and all the ally cases have had a lot of time on the polishing wheel, 6hr alone on the cam cover! i dropped the motor back in the newly powderd frame about 3 weeks ago but with my new toy i have had no time to spare for her, however i will resume the restoration in the next couple of weeks, here is a shot before i started the strip, quite clean and originel but she will be like new when i have finished.
Cheers.

RE: Hi to all
Well, all is finished for now, new seat plastic decals, screen from e-bay, bar raisers fitted e-bay again really help with the riding position no more pain in the wrists, new camchain tentioner a full service and a good clean and my CBR6 is now on the road and being used daily, very quick bike this, smooth power all through the rev range, very balanced, good handling bike two, well pleased with the end result so far, going to use her all summer plus a 700 mile in one night nationel rally in june.
Cheers.
