Default Hey Guys!

Just thought i should stop in here and say hi. I recently decided to purchase a cbr 600 from the North American Warhorse in Dunmore, PA. I just so happen to be on the mount airy casino job, and the owner just happens to own the dealer. So she is gonna get me one hell of a deal on a nice bike. I'll be upgrading from my 1981 Yamaha 650 Maxim XJ, to a 99ish CBR 600. The reason for my converting is i ride my friends GSX-R and i am addicted to the style of the bikes. As for a Honda, i have always been a honda fan, and owner. My family owns and bought 2 brand new honda fourwheelers, and my dad bought a new honda shadow motorcycle(cruiser). NEVER had any major problems with any of them. I have wanted a CBR 600 since i was about 12 years old, and its going to happensoon.

So anyways..i'll be getting my liscence on August 31st. I heard its pretty simple, a few figure 8's, a couple circles, some turns and away i go with my liscence. But my permit isnt stopping me from riding. I live and ride on backroads, so its allright.

So what do you guys think about the 1999 CBR F4? Good reliable bike?

I know the gsx-r that i ride has a stabalyzer in the handlebars(kinda looks like a small shock). Do these bikes have them?

I will be going to look at bikes at the shop on wednesday..ill give them a detailed lookdown then.

As for modifications, i will probably leave it pretty much stock..except for new turn signals, sliders, handlebar caps, fender eliminator kit, and exhaust. Nothing major.

So thanks guys!
You should be hearing from me a lot on these forums!

later.

Hi and welcome to the site!
The '99-'00 F4 is a dead reliable machine as almost all Honda machines are.
Only issue I've heard of is the cam chain tensioner on the F4i, but not the F4s?
You'll find the bike is quite comfortable and easy to ride, enjoy!!

allright...cool. I know my 81 yamaha is very comfy to ride, and my friends gsx-r i probably couldnt stand more than a half hour on without a break. Hopefully i'll be able to be comfortable for over an hour straight on my new bike. I should be going to look tonight or tomorrow night. I hope they have something there that i can afford!!
