Hey Everyone
Hey guys/gals,
I'm Jason, I'll be buying my first bike in a few months. My first riding experience was on my friend's R6, and then on his CBR, and I completely fell in love with riding from that point on, but I've been too poor to get a bike of my own. Well, now with the good old tax return and some patience, hopefully I'll be on my own bike in a few months.
I am by no means an expert, I am definitely a n00b to riding, but I love it. I hope I can get involved in the forum and become a better rider.

RE: Hey Everyone
Jason,
You'll find an extensive amount of knowledge in this forum, no matter what you ride. Look into some subjects and find out how people are picking their first bikes. Your experiance, personality, use of the bike, income, individual size, etc...all play a part in what bike is right for you. While I too am a new rider on the street, these guys can help you in each step of the process. Welcome and good luck!

RE: Hey Everyone
Thanks for the warm welcome. I have ridden a couple bikes, different brands and size. I definitely don't need anything bigger than a 600. I like the way the CBR responds, and overall I'm more comfortable and confident on a CBR than an R6 and a Ninja (Rode today for a bit). I'm excited to get a bike of my own, and definitely look forward to getting involved in the community! Again, thanks for the warm welcome!

RE: Hey Everyone
The ZEN of riding, think of nothing but riding. At first it's a safety thing, you are so preoccupied with safety you think of nothing else. It evolves into a state of awareness, you feel everything around you at once but you think of nothing in particular. You no longer react, you anticipate. Then you ride for life.

Well, I'm gonna dig this one up from the grave because I don't want to litter the already busy new member area up with a new one. From the time I made the OP, to now I am on my second CBR. Bought an 02 600, rode it hard and learned a lot and then picked up my new beauty a few weeks ago.
I was debating about getting a brand new bike but I just love the way the 03-06's look. So I hunted around since the snow started to melt, looked at about a dozen different ones and ended up with an '05 600RR. It's in great condition and runs like a champ.
Well, I finally got a day off of work. So I went back in to work and washed/waxed the ride.

Thank you very much! I'm glad I held out and waited. There is always so much temptation to buy the first few bikes you look at. But upon closer inspection I always found something wrong with them. I figured it was only a matter of time before I found the right one.
