Default Help! Shift arm stuck on Shift rod

Hey.

So i was doing some routine maintenance on a 2010 cbr600rr I recently purchased, I was looking at the shifting mechanisms for any hidden damage and came across the shifting arm that connects to the shift rod and spline. It seems to have been busted back off the spline and onto the rod where it somehow still allows the bike to shift but will not come off, I really dont know what to do ive tried pulling, lubing, prying to make a larger space for it to come off, nothing it is stuck like no tomorrow.

Anyone else had this problem or heard anything like it and does anyone have any way to get this thing off so i can put the new arm on the shift rod.

Thanks

Did you completely remove pinch-bolt? There's groove in shift-rod that bolt goes through. Cannot remove arm without removing bolt completely.

Easy way to remove is expand pinch-slot:

1. remove bolt completely

2. put washer into pinch-slot so it covers bolt-hole

3. install bolt in reverse, from threaded side first

4. bolt will push on washer

5. tighten bolt onto washer another 1-2 turns, this will expand the pinch-slot

6. arm should slide off easily.
