Hello From Old Dude.

Hey Folks. New to the forum. been helping a friend of mine clean out her shop after selling her house. Lots of stuff that is ending up in my garage. Now have a bigger air compressor, parts washer, and torch setup. I've been getting a little at a time so next trip will find me the owner of a 1993 Honda CBR600F2.

Not familiar with these machines. I like the looks and performance but not sure what it's like to ride one. I work on and own three Harley's. A Kawasaki 900 Vulcan. I also have a R65 BMW, Kawasaki 700 inline four, and a Honda CB450. Most of my bikes had issues and I bought them cheap.

The 600F2 is a freebie (has all the paperwork). Most of the body work is cracked up. Has a Yoshi muffler on it. Not sure if the engine turns over but the carbs are still on it.. I'll figure everything out when I get it home.

I'm 60 years old but grew up on Honda singles, twins, and inline fours. So this is like coming home again. Can't wait to dig in.and see what's going on

Use that compresses to blow the dust off and then use that parts washer to get her shined up.
I'm sure you're gonna love her. Smaller bike with plenty of power, something you may not have had before.
Welcome to the forum!

Oh I've owned quite a few "mid size" bikes. One of the best bikes I've ever owned were a couple of CX-500s. My GS-550E Suzuki was awesome and it's six speed gearbox made it great for traveling.

I did better than that on the cleaning. We had two days of heavy rain and thunderstorms. i really cleaned off all the dust, dirt, and cobwebs.

Here's my CX500 that was given to me. I did a little work to it. It's much lighter now. She still has the center stand and will most likely be loosing that soon. And yes, the front is dropped, she feels much smaller now.

I had a little trouble posting that as I don't want Vanmor to to be kicking himself for parting with the cx500s.
