Default Hello! New user from MN, USA

Hello!
Started reading this forum when I considered putting new fairings on my 1996 CBR600F3 but got talked out of it by a buddy , "if you keep this bike til you're 60, you're gonna wish you had the original plastics". Anyway currently putting it all back together after cleaning the carbs. Just waiting on new spark plugs and an air cleaner. I'll post some pics when I get her cleaned up and running!
Seems like an awesome forum, thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

Original fairings in good shape are good to have. If you want new fairings, change them, but keep the OEM ones. That way, if anything happens to them, the originals aren't damaged.

Welcome to the CBR Forum,

That's good advice. If I change the configuration of a bike, I try to do it in a manner that can be reverted to original easily.

Enjoy your bike nonetheless.

Cheers, SB
