My wife has just bought a 1990 Benetton 600.
I raced one of these in the '90s and she never forgave me for selling it but, you know, morgage and stuff. Unable to persuade her that my old FX is faster, lighter and generally a better bike, she now has a rather scruffy but otherwise complete and roadworthy (if we discount the ludicrously loud Scorpion exhaust) Benetton. With 66k miles everything is a bit "loose" but the motor seems solid and it seems to have held on to most of the ponies it had 30 years ago.
Not planning to go overboard but would like to get it nice for a trip to the TT in '22. I hope members of this forum can help refresh my memory of what goes where and generally fill in the gaps.

Hi stanthomas welcome to the forum,
Please take a moment and pop over to the new member area to introduce yourself and of course your good lady.
Where are you from, how long have you been on two wheels, what bikes do you have etc.
Loads of great knowledge here on the forum, so should be able to help out as and when needed.
We also love pictures.
Take care
Cheers
Al

Here she is getting the feel of a bike again with a little ride around the supermarket car park since she is, technically, a "born again biker"

As well as losing the OE exhaust, a PO has painted the wheels white, the forks silver and hacked the front mudguard legs off. I've removed the fairing panels to fix the mounting lugs.
On the subject of wheels, can anyone confirm that the wheel colour should be Honda RP134 "Primrose Pink"? Is it the same pink as used on the fairings of the 1991 CBR1000F and CBR600F - which were sort of Benetton with a black base (https://bikeportalen.dk/listings/bru...r-1000-f-1991/) ?
