Default hello to all

hello everybody. glad to be apart of your forum. i run a 1991 cbr1000f with 30thousand miles showing on the ticker. she moves real good and am pleased with it. i just stepped up from a 1978 cb550. i am curious though about parts. specifficaly exhaust. it came with a vance and hines slip on pipe and im not very pleased with that. my 550 made tons more noise with the header and pipe that came with it. so i want to know about finding a header and pipe for my 1000 that will make it sound killer and have lots more noise. also im hearing a lot about the timing chain and tensioners going bad. what should i be looking for as far as when to replace this. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome i hope you enjoy your stay have a search on the site many people have asked which exhauts are better on which bike but there are web sites that you can listen to exhaust sounds before you buy. General Tech area [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Hi Jim & welcome to the boards. You will enjoy your new bike. I'm sure you will find quite a few other people here with your bike that can help you find a good exhaust.
