I am Sam. Have my heart set on a 07 CBR black/silver scheme. (5600 or so private deal)

In the process of getting a loan. On that thought any advice on getting a bike loan in washington?
--My details--
My credit is decent, i did a free credit check and my score is 711, my last late payment or "negatives" were over 3 years ago. I can do close to 2000 down, though id rather stay closer to 1000-1500 so i have cash for gear. I am very capable of making 200-250 monthly payments.

Im waiting on a US bank loan for 6k (interest would be around 6-9%, my buddy works there so i opened an account and he is trying to make that work for me. He told me my credit is new, but he is talking to the district manager to get an override (i asked if getting a 5k loan vs 6k loan would make a difference, and the rep told me no, so i figure just use the loan and pay the bike, buy the gear with my cash, then pay off as much as I can with remaining cash approx 2k minus gear cost)

Im approved with American General Finance(AGF), but that loan has an interest rate of 24.99% !!!!!! which is insane so im hoping this isnt my only option. (details of loan, 5k loan 1k down, 36 months monthly will be 220 @ 24.99% interest.)

I did some research and am working on seattle loans http://seattle-motorcycle-loan.com/

and also contacted http://www.helpmeride.com/

Im assuming they will have better rates then AGF, im okay even with like 15% which is fairly high, but i REALLY want to ride... with a passion (used to ride years back, sold the R6 for personal reasons, fell in love however and have been dreaming(literally) about riding for the past years)

Anyone have some advice on loans in WA, there has got to be better than 25% interest...?

yea 24.99 with your credit is WAY HIGH 711 is actually pretty good. I have like 750 and my loan that I have for my truck is like 6% I wouldnt go any higher than 10% for a loan.

Yep, I'd just keep shopping around for a loan. 25% is insane.... you may as well put it on a CC for that... lol..

Anyway, welcome to the CBRF and I hope it all works out for you.

Welcome to the Forum, shop around good, for a decent loan. Some credit unions have
great rates the downside being they require membership for a few months prior.
But good luck with it and resist the impulse to grab any old loan.
