Welcome to the CBR Forum Tom,

Great projects -both of them. I'm sure I echo the thoughts of most guys on the forum when I say keep us posted on the progress of the car!

Cheers, SB

Spent about 3 hours disassembling and cleaning the carbs today. Pilot jets were plugged and the slides and throttle blades were sticking. Needles and seats looked ok. Waiting on a new fuel pump so I can get it started.

Good eye!!

Still waiting on my fuel pump, but took care of a few other items. Lubed the clutch cable, removed the throttle return cable, repaired the bent bar end screw that made the throttle grip drag/slow to return. Fixed some of the cracked bodywork.

I have no doubt it will fire right up once I change the pump, but I'll throw fresh plugs in it before I do and change the oil once I get it warmed up.

Also have a 17" front wheel on the way

Don't think so, but who knows? I see hundreds of people every week. There's a good chance I'd recognize him by sight.

Does he have a red Mini cooper too?

Got the new pump, petcock and filter in this morning. A few anxious moments an she fires up. Once the float bowls filled up it ran great. However, I had to crank the idle **** way up to keep it from dying. I suspect plugged idle or idle air jets. Bike seems ok otherwise, trans shifts good. Front brakes seem to drag a bit.
Pretty happy with it :-)
