Default Flashing red light they call it (mil) malfunction indicator light

So I put my old battery in and my bike started I let it run for a few shut it off and let it sit over night with no trickle on it tested it w/meter it read 12.60v after I shut her down then when I woke up I tested it again and supriseingly it read 12.30v so that tells me that it’s not daring it to bad
I still have no headlights ? I have blinkers and tail lights
but my starting button sticks on when I push it and I have to pry it out after it starts? My fuse I tested for h/lights is good I’m lost on how to check my stator and rectifier not to sure wat to test

The start button sticking will keep the headlights off. Try giving it a little cleaning and a lube.

You can start with a little spray and working it bit and see if that alone does the job.
