just found this site after i got my bike, and was looking for some info on it. Picked up my new cbr1000rr today. It is a new 06 with 0 miles, silver in color. i think i got a good deal on it, $8299. this is my sixth bike. been riding for 13 years, with some where over 100k miles in that time. i also have a 2000 triumph speed triple. which i may sell or keep to commute on? put 80 miles on today, so far am impressed with the bike overall. seems slightly lean off idle? and i need to reset the static sag to liking. and mess with the front end a bit to see if i can get quicker turn in might try pulling the forks up 5mm? great bike, smooth with good power and plenty of feed back from both ends. once i get a few good rides in and break the motor in more i think it will make a great track/backroad bike.
