Default First Bike: 97 F3

Hey everybody. After years of trying to get a bike (namely an older CBR) at a decent price, I finally got one. Its a 97 CBR F3 with 21k on the clock. Mechanically sounds fine, motor fired right up and sounds better than my friends 03 GSXR.

The exterior needs some TLC, tail is loose a little bit, tearing on the back of the seat, some rash and faded paint. I planned on painting it over the winter anyway. Got it for 1800 and some change. Picking it up on Friday morning, so I can have more pics then.

Congrats. The F3 is a great bike. I started on a red 97 F3 and if it hadn't been stolen at 48,000 miles, I would probably still be riding it and I'd be up to about 75,000 miles by now. My tail fairings were loose too, so I just got a stylish black and red bungie cord to hold it all together.

I've always been very fond of Honda bikes. I've heard they handle the twisties the best out of all the major companies usually, and of course, Honda motors are bulletproof. Wish I wasn't working all day tomorrow to go pick it up before Friday

And sucks about getting stolen man, I'm hoping people aren't looking at a 14 year old bike like "omg I should steal that!"
