First Bike
Hi all! First bike and also my first cbr! She is an 89 cbr600f "hurricane". Beautiful bike i must say! I found her in a rather poor state however, cracked side fairings so they were off the bike when i arrived. Everything was repainted a red except the front fender. Even the chain was so old that it was adjusted all the way out and still had enough slack to fall off!
She ran good and that v&h pipe was pure sex to my ears. I gave a 1k bucks for her and have already replaced the chain and sprockets, first time!!, she has 47k miles now and they keep going up!
I live in the dayton area of ohio, hope to find more riders as i just moved up here recently. Thanks to all for allowing to join this forum, may the fun times come!
Would like to attach photo's.....not sure how? What am i missing here?

welcome and congrats!
have you taken the MSF course? it's highly recommended for new riders. the things you learn will enhance your riding experience and maybe save you life someday.
look at this for how to add pics...

Bike as she sits now.
Reason the old chain fell off on me!!
Where the old chain was stretched out too and still had enough slack to fall off!!
New chain, im proud of myself!
Ill upload more pics later. This is all i had for now.
Weird problem, when i installed the new chain there wasn't enough slack to install the right side adjuster plate and bolt. It was quite a time lining the tire up without it but i did do it. Can this become a problem later or am i ok as long as that axel nut is tight?

If i pull the chain tight enough to screw the plate on it leaves zero slack in the chain so im not sure what the issue is....
The wheel however is straight and the axel is tight. Should i experience any issues like this?
