F4i and 600RR...what the difference? Noob alert!
Just curious as to the main differences. I asked the guy at the dealership but he didnt know and was curious as to why the difference in models. I can see that visually they are a lil different but how do they really differenciate?
-horsepower wise? They are both 599cc bikes...
-frame? Is one made more for racing?
Someone told me the F4i was Hondas old racing bike and the RR is the new one. Any truth to this? Thanks in advance guys.

do a search on this, this is probably the millionth time this question has been asked and it can get ugly, lol
horsepower difference, not much
the frames are different, but are both twin spar aluminum frames. basically same as horsepower, not much difference
yes, the f series was the original honda supersport 600

Welcome...
Don't worry about asking a questions that's been asked, over and over again. That's what forums are for and I can't believe the dumb *** salesman didn't know how to explain the difference.
One big difference... 4 fuel injectors vs. 8. The RR has a second set of injectors that kick in around the 8000 rpm range
Suspension is another major difference. The RR is more for racing while the F4 leans more toward the touring, comfort ride.
Rider position. The RR has you leaning more for a tucked position while the F4 has you sitting up straight.
Looks... is the obvious one. And I'm sure I'm leaving out something, but this should give you more of an idea. What are you looking for in a bike?

Hello & Welcome!!
Don cleared it....a little extra information - the seat height is different, the foot pegs are placed further back on the RR, F4i is wider, F4i is a "stunter's" choice, the forks are flipped on the RR, oil changes on the F4i are much easier (RR needs a fairing taken off), cost, etc.

yeah... what she said. Way to watch my back Pit.
That's a good point. The RR is designed more for racing, which means they want the front end to stay down so it's a poor choice for a stunt bike. Not that it can't be used as a stunt bike... we have plenty of members that do, it's just the F4 would probably be easier to learn stunting on.
