Default F1 from Iceland

Hi all, just got this cbr 600 f1 ī89. Very excited to get it running smoothly. Some maintenance needs to be done before hitting the open roads but for the price I paid I donīt mind. I already reupholstered the seat to almost its original look (pic later) and sent it to a motorcycle mechanic to fix it up (dont have the means or knowledge to do everything myself). Was able to drive it from the seller but it lacked power and I found out it was only running on 2 cylenders. hoping it wont be too expensive but even so itīll be worth it.

Welcome to CBRF! That looks so clean for an older baby 'cane. Sorry to hear its only running on half power, but it'll be worth it. I bet it just needs the carbs cleaned, best of luck.

Very cool. We visited Iceland in July 2008 and saw very few motorcycles.

Well we do have many bikes here but not many use them as their daily driver.. U know, weather and all.

Thanks ! Yeah the carbs might just need a good scrub, previous owners might have messed with something. Hope nothing is missing.

May trough august are pretty decent for riding, everything else is too cold/snowy/rainy. But you can get away with more if you toughen up and put on some layers.
