hey guys names mark im new to the forum new to the whole computer really. this is an awsome site with alota useful info however im surprised there are no threads on cbr900rr cranks,crank bearings probs and fixs. i own a 97 900rr and im on my 4th motor and 3rd 2nd gear. thanks to this forum i found a guy in fl. to undercut the gears but nothin the bearing/knocking issue.my bike is pristein and i love it im not about to get rid of it but i am sick of the hassel of finding a motor on a buget and taking gambles! just got robed on a motor i drove 3 hrs to nyc and payed 750$ for another engine that knocks! be carful when buying a motor out of a bike . i heard this due to is wheelin witch i do offten but theres gotta be a way arond it or sombody who repairs them . any info i would love to hear it.any way i own a lil motorsports shop in upstate n.y and do all my own work ive built numores motors on every thing from mini bikes to marine big block 502s so any thing i can help u fellas with just ask glad to help thanks guys keep ridin !

 

Welcome Mark ..........hear your pain on multiple motors .....reckon tearing down to
fix one of the selection you have is the way to go. That 900 is definitely worth the
hassle though. Good luck with it.
