Hey,I'm Jamesand new to the site. I have an '07 shadow 750C2 but I'm an "all-around-cycle" guy, I want to experience all of the genres of bikes. I've had 3 bikes so far a DS and 2 cruisers and I'm going to add a sportbike to my garage of hopefuls. I'm looking at the CBRF4i for my first sportbike, any insight is appreciated. Thanks again!

or well can be, there are those who ride sportbikes like crusiers, and I've seen cruiser riders than can out ride alot of sportbike riders lol.

 

Hey James, I made a similiar switch a few years ago. I had been riding an old school HD for a number of years, then I decided I would get a sportbike just to see. well after the 2nd season with the sport bike, I sold the cruiser becuase it was just setting.

I did alot of research, and settled on the F4i as the sport bike I wanted. You cant go wrong with the F4i. Its comfortable, reliable, fast enough to keep up
with anything if riding correctlly, and there are tons of them around.

 

I got the F4i because it was more 'all around' than other sportbikes, you won't be disappointed. What you will notice is how light it is compared to what you are riding and as far as comfort it is good enough to ride for a while.

But if you plan on keeping a cruiser along with the F4i there will be some overlap or the cruiser will become redundant so maybe an RR should be considered, I thinkthe RRis better looking and more modern, but definitely more focused than the F4i.

Thanks for all the info, especially you guys that have made the same switch. Another question would be how reliable is the CBR600F4i?? I know it's a Honda and most their products are very reliable but before i throw down some cash on one I would like to know this. The CBR600f4i is FI isn't it?? Sorry for all the questions but I like to find my info out before i buy, lol, don't we all? I'll be buying the bike in about a month, so ANY info is greatly appreciated!!

Yes the F4i is FI hence the i. I have a F4. The f4/i's are very relible and durable. I have 46k on mine 10k of which I put on it since last May. Thirdgenlxi has over 120k on his 05 F4i. Like I said very good bikes.

 

Honestly, Honda or not, all the japanese bikes are extremely reliable.

Honda just happens to have the most character.
