Cross over model? CBR 600F PGMF1
Hello all,
I've just been out in the terrible north western UK weather on the last day in 2012 to put a deposit on my new ride
It's a uk bike and in great shape 2001, 24000 miles. It's got a carbon hugger and indicators, I will post more info once it's passed it's MOT and been reshod with some sticky new rubber back and front. I will post some more pics in higher res once I get it back on the ranch and the cleaning and servicing has started.
A few questions I have are, What is the best workshop manual to buy ? Does the radiator show signs of damage of stone chip on them all ? What is the most worthwhile modification that I could make ?

Welcome to the forum Stuart. Nice looking bike.
The 2001-2003 model F4i is a split-seat version in the U.S. Yours obviously is a banana seat.
There are links to the factory Honda service manual here on the forum. Download the PDF. The service manual is the best source of info. You can supplement w/ other aftermarket manuals such as the Clymer or Haynes manual.
'The most worthwhile modification' really isn't a modification but rather having your bike's suspension setup properly for your body weight & riding style. Having proper suspension settings can make a huge difference in your bike's performance given your riding application.

I picked her up this morning, there was an issue with the fuel cap lock (seized ) I have a new Dunlop sport max on the rear and a bridestone battalax on the front, the ride home was brilliant, still early days yet so I only rode at 4000 rpm most of the time. When I did open the taps it was on a long straight dry road and boy can this thing move. Back home I checked the suspension settings (all standard, 4 th notch) I lubricated the rear chain and polished some alloy. Checked all the body work for loose bolts ( found 2) I found the mirrors to be a bit scratched and so I carbon fibre wrapped them. Unfortunately the weather is set to turn nasty for the next few weeks so I will be consigned to the garage to continue with the servicing and checking.
