Changing front wheel size

Hi everyone. I have a 92 cbr 900 looking to put 17'' front wheel on it. I believe a VFR 750 wheel will go in once a spacer is made up. I need to know what year or years has the front wheel speedo drive. Your advise on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
