hey folks, just wanted to share an idea that was shared with me. Instead of using that messy wax or gunk collecting grease for your chains. try a 50/50 kroil oil and wd-40 mix.. Mix it, put it in a spray bottle, and rock on. you will notice the difference, swear on it!

 

both are penetrating oils. Why not use just one or the other, what benifit is it to mix them. What makes it better than chain oil? just curious.

 

I was told this by a guy i know that drag races bikes professionally. the wd40 has a high enough solvent content to break down the o rings in some chains, whereas the kroil oil tends to neutalize that. The kroil tends to penetrate but also keeping the lube going. I have been trying it and it seems to be working great. my buddy says it adds a few more thousand miles to your chain life and gives you a slight horsepower climb 2-4 depending on what and how your running.
