Default CBR600F transition to Fireblade

Hi all, I don't know if this has been covered before, but as a 'born again biker', newly married to a 600f for over a year now and loving it, I am now looking at fireblades!
I love the 600 so much, and plan to keep it, but how user friendly are the fireblades, and would I use it, or would it sit in the garage?

Welcome to CBRF! I most definitely think you would use the fireblade more than your 600f. Fireblades are user friendly if you know how to ride. It really depends on your riding, and exactly what bikes are we talking about.

Love all the bikes you can! The 600F is fantastic though. I still have a 600F. Sold my 08 Blade two years ago. Rode the 600 waaaaay more! Welcome!

Hey there welcome to the forums. Sure you are going to get more power out of a blade but its really about what you want out of a bike ya know? Love my 6, would I want a badder bish? You know it, but we do what we do with what we got and love it no matter what. Get what feels right and enjoy every minute. Cheers

Thanks for your replies, I can sometimes dive into something without properly thinking it through. I have the 2005 model 600, and think the fireblade of the same era looks awesome. I'm 49 now, from the era of the 350lc, which I also loved, but things have moved on somewhat!! It's like now or never for the blade, but am looking at around 5k for a good one. I shall think it through some more.
All the best, Paul.

Welcome Bert!

I say do what you want, just cautiously at first, maybe.
You said sometimes you dive in without thinking it through, but you're definitely old enough to play it safe on the more powerful machine, so I say take a chance! Especially if it really is: now or never!

Thanks for all your replies, I've thought it through, and I really want one. Hopefully, someone could point me in the right direction?
I want a 2006 model in red, below 15,000mls, and in good condition around the £4500 mark. The nearer to Kent the better.
Many thanks, Paul
