RR and pulse-generators have nothing to do with cranking bike.

Trace electricity flow from battery to starter. Measure following:

1. resistance at starter-solenoid grn/red terminal to chassis-ground, ohms = ???

2. battery power with everything OFF, volts = ???

3. red wire going into ignition-switch, volts = ???

4. key ON, red/blk wire leaving ignition-switch, volts =???

5. blk/red going into start-button, volts =???

6. PRESS start-button, yel/red wire leaving start-button, volts =???

7. yel/red wire at starter-solenoid, volts = ???

You'll have series of measurements:

battery 13v -> 13v -> 13v -> 13v -> 13v -> 13v -> 13v -> 13v -> 13v -> 0v <-- AHAH!!!! -> 0v -> 0v -> 0v starter-solenoid

Problem is between junction where you got 0v and previous point that did have power. Could be corroded or broken connector or wire along way.
