Default Cbr 600 f2 2002

Hi, I'm Chris and new to the forum.
I'm just getting my CBR 600f2 (2002 model) ready for spring and I realised both headlights weren't working. Well to be fair the left hand one has only ever worked unless I selected high beam, but i'm told this is normal for the CBR.
After a lot of research I bought a new set of Phillips xtreme H7's to replace those already in and popped one in to try, but it just stays on and won't dip. I can't see what I've done wrong as the old one is exactly the same. Any ideas?

What do you mean by "won't dip?" The left light is the low beam and always on. The right is the high beam with the switch and is the same bulb just aimed higher.

Thumbs up

Aha, that explains it! I have looked everywhere (apart of course from this forum) I was wrongly informed that the left hand light dipped and also came on with Main beam and the right hand one just worked on main beam. Thanks so much for clearing that one up.

It's been a common question with that design. Guys get fed up with being told that there is a head light out by everyone, every time they ride and resort to leaving the high beam on all the time.

I think it's one of Honda's poorer design choices.

Yes I agree, I've seen a few people have converted theirs to HID with kits, but it looks a bit heath-robinson to me.
