CBR1000RR 2006 Broken mount (frame) for rear brake.
As I was stationed in Germany we had a major wind storm come through and blow over my bike, several times thanks to the people nice enough to pick it up. Upon inspection I noticed a portion of my rear brake impacted the ground and snapped the threaded portion of the frame the rear brake pedal was bolted to.
Has anyone had this issue and if so what was your fix? The brake is useable but has too much play to be deemed safe.

Reason: Didn’t mention make and model.
Hi and welcome to the forum. Maybe provide some additional information like the year and model of your bike? Pictures of what you're referring to would help as well.

Here are some pics. This is basically what’s left to mount to.
The pics here show the aftermath of the German wind storm. Bike fell over snapping a threaded hole off of the frame. What can I do to successfully fix this. If I need a new frame I might as well just get a new bike. Sorry for the delay I’m military with small kids so
my time is very short for my hobbies.
My thoughts would be to have it welded, re-drilled and then tapped again. I can't imagine any type of epoxy would be strong enough to hold up to the stresses it has to endure.
I’m surprised no one else has every had this issue. That thread is extremely close to the edge of that frame. So much as to where if I’d seen this at purchase I may have changed my mind.
It looks to me like you have aftermarket rear-sets. I found this image on the forum for a 2006 1000RR showing the right side with the brake pedal. The factory peg is on a pivot and will fold up if the bike lays on that side. Aftermarket ones often don't do that such as yours. Honda knew that putting the entire weight of the bike on that mount, especially if it was during an impact, would most likely cause a failure. I'm not so sure we can blame Honda for this.
I would think if you found aperson that was good at welding they could thread the scre in like you have it, put the broken piece on then weld it. Touch it up with a bit of paint and you'll be good to go.

I'll just say "Welcome!" and those were my thoughts as well!
