Default A Blanket "Welcome!"

I posted this in the other thread, but I wanted to give it a little more visability to everyone coming in here that's new.

Just because it's not been done in a while on here, I wanted to personally welcome each and every one of you to the site. Don't be shy! Get your hands dirty and type away in any of the forums. If I were to offer some advice, this is what I would say...
[ul][*]Don't be afraid of the "REPOST!!1! lolz" comments if you want to post something you think is neat that you found on YouTube or elsewhere. There's a bunch we've seen, and there's a bunch that's new to someone! (though I would try the next point first, just to quickly check)[*]Use the "Search" function. It's got tons of helpful information on just about every topic... from underwear to frame-sliders. If you can't find something that answers what you're wondering, feel free to ask![*]Be Friendly! This forum isn't without it's issues and arguments from time to time, but generally speaking we all come here to share a common interest and enjoy sharing our thoughts and seeking opinions.[*]Get involved! Post up your mileage in the Official 2008 Mileage thread, Doing something to your bike? Take a bunch of pictures AS you do it, then write up a "How-To" in that section... whatever works![*]Take pictures... post pictures! Threads are 10x better with pictures! Picture of you, picture of your significant other, picture of your bike, your dog, picture you took of someone else, funny pictures, whatever! We like to see what you see![*]Pick your battles! I say this because, since we strive to be safe and responsible riders here. We've all done our share of hell raising and we aren't all as conservative as we might come off as... but that being said, if I've learned anything while I've been here, I would stay away from posting "Top speed" numbers on the regular streets, and if you're going to post a video or a picture with you on the bike, we better see you're gear on you. Again, we just seek to be safe and responsible. Doing 150mph down the highway, while exhilirating, isn't very safe. Doing 150mph down a back stretch at the local track is equally exhilirating, but much safer. On this forum, one of them makes you a hero, and one a zero.[*]Don't be afraid of a little "Tough Love". Don't let anything get taken too personally. Everyone's got an opinion, and it may not agree with yours. MOST of us just want to keep you around for a long, long time.
[/ul]
Again, welcome to the site! Post some pics of your bikes! Make a signature (or ask to see if someone will design one for you!), post an avatar picture... "flesh out" your profile! Let us know who you are!

Ride safe, Love every minute of it. Keep the Shiney side up.
