id go with the 600 it is my first bike, its quick and fun but not so fast u feel like ur gonna loose control all the time

 

hey, welcome to the forum. I started on a CBR600Sregwhich was fab, i've had it 2 summers now and can really motor on it great learning bike. this will probably be my last summer before changing bikes but think i'll stick to 600 but a newer one anything after 2002 prbably.

buy a 600 to start m8---some of my m8s have bought 1000s and hurt themselves badly--600s are--more fun cause you gotta thrash em to get the best out of em--unless youve got great throttle control--buy an off roaderaswell youll learn loads about control n great fun 2
