Talking Back on 2 wheels after 20 years

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. It's been a long time since I had a bike and I'm anxious to get going again. I rode for about 15 years straight in the 70's and early 80's on Yamahas and Kawasakis. I used to be in the bike business and was a service manager for a Honda, Kawasaki, and BMW dealer. Had to give up the bike when I got married but now I'm divorced and will do as I damn well please.

Usually the government takes my tax refunds and gives them to my ex for child support but someone screwed up this year and deposited the money into my account. Since I have been looking for a bike but didn't have the money, I wasted no time in making my purchase.

A 1991 CBR 1000F.

It's got 43,000 miles but is in generally good condition. I have to replace the steering stem bearings and the fork tube seals to pass inspection but that shouldn't be too bad. I plan to commute to work and do some touring this summer.

So, hi everyone. Glad to be here.
Tim

That would be great but I'm on a learner's permit now because I let my motorcycle classification expire. I also have a conference in D.C. that Saturday.

That is the most awesome intro I've ever heard.

Congrats on the new 1000F, man. Stop by the Hurricane section and say hi. We're a pretty good group.

Welcome Tim and nice bike. Same deal here with me , did not ride for about the same
amount of time and jumped back in hook line and sinker on the 1000F, did the MSF /
Endorsement combo and being "back in the saddle" -- is life the way it's meant to be
