Default American in Tokyo

Sup all.. My name is Alex and i have been riding roughly 10 years. Originally from Cali but have been and lived many places in the last 14yrs due to my membership in the US Air Force. (no, i do not fly planes)

When i left the states and went to Okinawa my wife was uneasy with me riding there due to the coral in the roads that create ice rinks when it rains on certain
parts of the island, so i got rid of my bikes "03 SV650S and 04 R6".

So....
I recently moved from Okinawa to Tokyo and decided to pick up one of the few thousand(exaggeration) "brand new" 08' CBR1000rr's(US spec: 0km) that just flooded the Japanese market last month.

I have wanted a CBR for years. ever since i rode one in 2005 i have been in love(for lack of a better word).

here is a picture:

It has never been ridden. lol.. I bought it on Thursday, did the paperwork on Friday(for registration/inspections) and i came to Seattle on Saturday.. hopefully all the inspections will be done by the time i get home in 2 weeks. The bike being an import makes things a tad more interesting.

Glad i found this site.

Hey man, awesome bike. Good luck with all your endeavors... I'm still sitting patient till the day I can own one of those.

I'm in Korea working until late August, hopefully I can have a nice homecoming like that.

Thanks, im happy with my selection. What part of Korea are you in(Ive spent alot of time in Daegu/Taegu)? And if you are working overseas im sure will come home with more than enough money to buy the bike you want..

Ah, I'm about a 3 hour drive, a 4-5 hour ride (bikes aren't allowed on the big highways here). Dude, you left Japan too early, MotoGP hits Motegi next month! Anyways, enjoy the ride.
