All around Newbie
Hey all, my name is Chris. I just purchased my first bike. It's a 93 cbr900. It is a little rough around the edges, but I am a professional Auto tech and plan on putting this machine back to it's original glory.
I'm located in Norfolk VA. I'm sure I will learn a good bit about CBR's here. I can't wait to meet some great people and learn a little too. Thanks! Chris |
Welcome to CBRF Chris! Congrats on getting your first bike! Good to hear that you're going to bring it back to life. Be sure to post b/f & after pics for us.
You certainly can learn a great deal here. There is a wealth of information in our collective. Settle in & enjoy! :-) |
Welcome to the forum, Chris.
Good luck with your project. There is lots of great info and helpful members around here. You should have no problems getting her going. You will find its not much different than a car to work on, just easier and more fun! |
Welcome to the madhouse !
Enjoy what we have to offer and make yourself at home. |
Well. Here are a few shots. The first time I tried to start her after I got it home it was slow to crank. Upon pulling the seat I noticed the connector for the Stator/Rectifier is burnt and one wire has broken off the pin. So, I guess that will be my first repair. Maybe I should do a build thread. I plan on doing a Ratty street fighter. Thanks for the welcome!
