Looks nice, It's a CBR600F2 if it's from 93, I have a 1992 myself, they are very durable, quick bikes, can keep up with the new ones quite easily, yours looks like it has some good work done to it, some things to look for - - - (make sure you check the stator, regulator rectifier, and fork seals, check the chain too.) Other than that it seems to 'look' very nice, I paid 1000 for mine and then wrecked it, I love her but I got what I paid for, I'm sure if he won't go lower than 2000 the bike starts and runs well, it probably has a special place in his heart man, it's a great starter bike, just take care of her, and learn about her, and she'll take care of you. My advice (if you haven't ridden before (or rather don't have alot of experience) make sure and take most of that fairing kit off, cause you'll probably drop it, and that paint looks expensive.) Have a good time man, and I wish you lots of luck. You'll be fine. Just get someone to test ride it.
hope this helped - - -
