Default About to seal the deal on my first bike...questions

Just want to make sure I am getting a fair deal on this.

2002 F4i, 15.5k miles, yellow/black. It has never been wrecked. Totally stock. New rear pads, synthetic every 3k. The only bad thing was it fell over in his yard and cracked the fairing and the mirror. I know I can get the mirror for $30 from bikebandit.com. The fairing isn't that bad, so I am going to live with that rather than replace it. Pads were replaced on the rear. Tires are in good shape.

$3800 gets me the bike, helmet, leather jacket, and an extra left mirror (he ordered the wrong one). I know the guy personally, so I know all the above is true (i.e. not ever wrecked or dropped while riding).

I'm 28 and drove it this past sunday (first time EVER driving a 2 wheel motor powered machine!!!) ....must say I am really nervous, but I am looking forward to it. Hoping to be at VIR next summer for some track days if I get enough experience under my belt.

Welcome t the forum. Sounds like a very good bike as for the fairing damage you could always get it repaired by plastic welding. Enjoy you bike and lets see some pics soon.

I got pics, but I don't want to post them since I haven't actually bought it yet! It's just a stock yellow 02 F4i... I promised myself that I've got to sell some crap in the garage to make room for it (check out for sale section shortly!).

I've ordered the right mirror and you can see where it is cracked from falling over in his yard. He removed all the turning signals, but I am going to put them back on. It's all stock, 15k miles, 02 F4i.

Good pics and sounds like a good deal. It's always good to personally know the person you are buying from and trust them. Hope you like it and since you said you've never been on a 2-wheel powered machine, take the MSF. It's well worth it.

Congrats sevenT6. You have some very nice toys. You will love the bike!!!! Just remember that the brakes on a sportbike are unlike a sportscar.

Take the MSF and enjoy...nothing is more fun than a sportbike.
