929 No spark.
Hello troops.
I have a 2001 929.
Went out and done a 100 mile in the summer, absolutely fine. Came the next day and it wouldt start.
On investigation I found the orange connector with earths and lives, under the tank burnt out, and the connector from the regulator to stator (three yellow wires). So replaced both stator and regulator.
New battery fitted. Still no spark at the plugs.
I’ve checked the pink wire and I am getting 0.020v?
Checked continuity on the Cam sensor, and there is no continuity and 17.60ohms?
All the rest of the harness looks ok and connectors. The only thing I see it could be is cam or crank sensor or ECU, however I want to be sure at the ECU is an expensive guess!
Any help would be appreciated. Missing my bike, but the summer is pretty much done in the UK now lol!
Happy to be contacted direct 07907211024
Cheers

Yep measured that and I am getting 0.020volts?
Any ideas ??
From the 4 pin connector.
Surely it can only be cam or crank sensor at fault or ECU now?
cheers
No, pink-wire is anti-theft circuit and must present 9v at ECU connector to confirm bike hasn't been hot-wired.
Currently ECU is refusing to send spark because it thinks it's been stolen.
Figure out why pink-wire isn't sending 9v to ECU
